2017/04/07 MVC Co-Hosted International Vaccine Manufacturers Workshop to Address Current Issues in Registration and Vaccine Supply

MVC co-hosted an international workshop with DCVMN, Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network, from March 6th to March 10th, 2017 in Victoria Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.

Experts from China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam were invited to share their insights regarding vaccine registrations in developing countries. Other topics like vaccine shortage and process development were also discussed. In the same workshop, Dr. Nora Dellepiane, who had more than 20 years of expertise in vaccine quality and regulatory framework in WHO, shared her knowledge in global vaccine procurement and supply schemes.

This workshop offered a unique opportunity to address the importance of registration harmonization and strategies to supply vaccines for global market. In the workshop MVC also shared the latest development progress in EV71 vaccine, and fostered collaborative network with other manufactures to improve global vaccine availability.

About DCVMN
The Developing Countries Vaccine Manufactures Network (DCVMN) was established in 2000, a voluntary organizations with vaccine manufacturers from developing countries aiming to make a consistent supply of quality vaccines that are accessible to developing countries. Over the years the network has included 50 vaccine manufacturers in 17 countries and territories, producing and supplying over 40 different types of vaccine which are totaling around 200 products, from those nearly 40 are prequalified by WHO.
